World's 'most mispronounced man' dies, 71.

I never realised how to pronounce his name, either, until I heard news reports of his death.

Vale, Dr Moog. Even if your name does rhyme with 'vogue'.

The sun rose.

And the day dawned.

And it sailed across the morning, crossed midday and settled down through the afternoon, very slowly, because that's how afternoons happen and the sun knows that.

Then it disappeared, because it was still winter.

I'm looking forward to Spring.

So is the sun.

August 24, 1972.

I had already read the book, but that day was my first journey to Hanging Rock.

On that faraway day; still, sunny, pre-spring; I thought I saw eternity or heaven.

Maybe I did.

The mother of my first two children was there. It was at Hanging Rock I fell in love with her.

Where are are my linking friends?

Prestbury's Diary, stopped 24 May 2005.

Monkey, June 29.

Topanga, where are you?

Cupcake Man turns 27 and shuts his blog. Like that's a reason?

Marutle, where are you?

And ThisGirl, who last posted July 18?

Then there is the writer in England.

Where are you all? Post soon please. I am missing you.

More thoughts are coming.

But I am very tired. And I apologise for a week of no posts.

But there it is.

But I will be back within days, maybe within 24 hours.

Too many buts.

Happy birthday, horses.

Thoroughbreds in the Southern Hemisphere celebrate their birthdays on August 1.

Many happy returns to gee-gees everywhere.
