Ring, ring.
'Hello.'
'Hi. It's Mum!'
'Mum, I'm at school.'
'I know. I just called to ask you what you'd like for dinner.'
'Mum, I'm in the middle of a lesson.'
'Well, tell me what you'd like and I'll let you go!'
'Mum, everyone's looking at me and the teacher's glaring at me. I can't start talking about what I want for dinner now!'
'Well, all right, I'll try and think of something. Can you pick up some milk on the way home?'
'Mum, I'm going to tennis lessons after school and I'll be carrying my gear and racquet as well as my books!'
'OK. Bye!'
Click.
is it time for a nap yet? i think so

Comments:
Thanks for the tip, Cupcake Man. I've already been over and welcomed him back. By the way, my record for comments on any one post is nine, yet Monkey disappears for six months and his first post back gets scores of comments!
Thisgirl, my mother would as well. She used to spit on her hanky and wipe my face. And hold my hand to walk across the street. Mothers!
Monkey, you know where to go to find out! And thanks for visiting again. Good to hear from you.
